In the morning, cross over to Kos. In the afternoon, your first bike tour begins to the sanctuary of the god of healing, Asclepius, which gained fame through the physician Hippocrates, who was born on Kos. After a tour, return to the ship. Spend the evening in the lively island capital of Kos. On a tour of the city, you will encounter traces of the island’s great past at every turn. The Roman forum, the fortress of the Knights of St. John, and the mosques from the time when Kos belonged to the Ottoman Empire stand close together. Dinner on land. You can then end the day in one of the city’s numerous bars or cafés.

Early morning crossing to Leros, which is green and varied. Your bike tour takes you to the Johanniter Castle in Agia Marina and into the winding streets of the village. Passing the idyllic harbor, you cycle on to the sea-washed chapel of Agios Isidoros, where many couples have tied the knot. Weather permitting, the ship will take you to Patmos in the afternoon, which is visible from afar with its snow-white upper town and the Monastery of St. John towering above it. Dinner on board and overnight stay on Patmos or in a bay near Leros.

On a short, panoramic bike ride on Patmos, you will first visit the cave where John is said to have received the Apocalypse from God during his imprisonment. The world-famous Monastery of St. John in Chora, a village that exudes heavenly peace with its numerous white alleys and 34 churches and chapels, is the next destination on your bike tour. From there, the ride continues along the coast (including a possible stop for a swim) back to the harbor, where the ship awaits you for a late lunch and onward journey to Lipsi. Explore this charming village and don’t miss a visit to the legendary pastry shop at the harbor!

In the morning, you will take a short bike tour on Lipsi, which will take you almost all around the predominantly agricultural island with its many small churches and chapels and enchanting beaches. In the afternoon, you will cross over to the island of Kalymnos and the main port of Pothia, where you will spend the night. The old town of Pothia still clearly shows the former wealth of its inhabitants, which was acquired through sponge diving.

Today, a round trip by bike on Kalymnos is on the agenda, during which you will get to know the whole island, which has made a name for itself far beyond Greece’s borders as a climbing paradise. You will also pass through a valley that is surprisingly green for this barren island and enjoy wonderful views of the bay-rich coastline. Back in Pothia, the ship will be waiting to take you to Kos Town for the night.–

After breakfast on board, you will take a leisurely trip to the Embros Thermal Springs, where you can once again bathe in the soothing warm water. After lunch on shore, you will enjoy the last crossing of the week back to the port of departure on board your ship. You can round off an eventful week perfectly on the beautiful beach next to the landing stage. Say goodbye to your tour guide and crew during a convivial farewell evening.

After breakfast disembarkation. Collective transfers to Bodrum Airport. If you wish to fly home from the Island of Kos your ferry will depart at 09:30 am. Please insure that your flight departure from Kos is no earlier than 1 pm.

We reserve the right to make changes to the planned itinerary due to changing wind and weather conditions as well as organizational requirements.

Capacity: 34+

Bicycle

Guided group pace: The guided group pace is based on the e-bike riders. If you are riding a gravel bike on an e-bike tour, you should not be surprised by the faster basic pace. Cyclists without e-bikes should therefore be fit enough to keep up with the group. Thank you for your understanding.

Own bikes: Please note that due to safety risks and lack of space on board, it is NOT possible to bring your own e-bikes on this trip. Bringing your own trekking bikes is not recommended due to the group pace.

Rental bikes incl. Panniers

We provide the following bikes on board:

  • Gravelbikes
  • E-bikes

Please note that we can only provide rental bikes for people over 1.50 m tall. If you do not want to do without your own saddle or clipless pedals, you are welcome to bring them with you and have them mounted on your rental bike by your tour guide on site.

E-bikes | Electric bikes | Pedelecs

Our e-bikes are high-quality pedelecs, which are characterized by a relatively low weight and good equipment. With an e-bike, even steep inclines can be climbed almost effortlessly. So now cyclists with different fitness levels can go on tours together!

Additional insurance (bookable/payable on site)

Insurance against theft and damage of the rental bike (not covered: intentional damage). See price list for details

Arrival - Parking - Departure

Arrival by plane

Airport: Bodrum (BJV), transfer time Bodrum Airport - Bodrum Harbour approx. 45min.

CUSTOMS
Our tour in the South Greek Aegean will start from Bodrum. In order to avoid any travel complications whilst crossing the borders, we request that all participants register for the appropriate travel documentation and visas with their local embassy before arrival on site.

At this point in time many travelers are skeptical about flying into Turkey. We would therefore like to inform you that all of these tours offer an alternative flight route via Kos Island, followed by a ferry connection to Bodrum harbour.

ARRIVAL VIA KOS
If you decided to travel to Bodrum via the Kos Island, it is of utmost importance that your flight times suite the ferry times between Bodrum and Kos.

A taxi service is available from Kos Airport to the ferry terminal in Kos town. The travel time is around 30 minutes. The taxi stand at the airport is located directly outside the arrivals terminal. A price chart can be found at the taxi stand to insure you receive a fair fare.

Should you have enough time to spare, you can make use of the public bus, for a reduced price. The bus station is located around 25 meters away on your left hand side after exiting the airport arrivals terminal. This is where the KTEL bus departs for Kos city, via Mastichari. The ride to Kos city takes around 40mins. Tickets can be purchased on board the bus. More information can be found here

The ferry crossing from Kos to Bodrum takes approx. 1 hour. We advise you to be at the ferry terminal at least 30 mins before departure, to provide enough time for any border formalities which might take place. Departure generally takes place at around 5pm, enabling you to reach Bodrum by 6pm.

The returning ferry from Bodrum to Kos generally takes place at around 09:30, enabling you to reach Kos at around 10:30 on the departure day.
The ferry costs around € 25,- per person/crossing (return ticket approx. € 32,-) and should be booked in advance here.

Arrival by car

Parking: several parking possibilities in the surroundings, approx.€ 8,- per day.

Minimum: 14
Maximum: 30

Schedule- and programme changes
The schedule and programme are always subject to change. If a certain route cannot be taken due to high or low tides, the Skipper retains the right to change the route for reasons of safety without this constituting any legal entitlement to a claim.

Bringing Own Bike
Please be informed that only bringing normal trekking-/touring-/city-bikes is allowed. It is NOT possible to bring own E-bikes.

Helmets
Helmet use is mandatory on all cycle tours. You are strongly encouraged to bring your own (well-fitted) helmet. Cycle helmets are available on board in limited number (on request).

Children
We believe that only children in a good physical condition and with a minimum age of 10 and previous bicycle tour experience are able to master the cycle tours on their own strength. Please note that the minimum height for a rental bicycles is 1.50 m (5 ft.)

Travel documents
EU-citicens should carry a valid passport.

Transit Log Fee
From 2025, so-called transit log fees must be paid per person for journeys in Greece that start in Turkey. See price table for prices.

Five Star Experience

The food prepared by our Turkish chef was the best we have ever had on a biking trip. The guides, Ali and Demetrius, could not have been any more professional and accommodating. They were the best we have ever had.
