At around 4:30 p.m., we offer you a guided city tour of Split, whose old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built directly into the famous palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Learn interesting details about the city’s history and see the most important sights. The ship remains in the port of embarkation overnight.
Day 2: Split – Island Hvar, approx. 23 km
You will take the ferry to the island of Brač, which is famous for its bright white limestone, which was used, among other things, for the White House in Washington and the Reichstag in Berlin. Once you arrive on Brač, you will cycle from the picturesque Pučišća, which is home to one of Croatia’s most famous sculpture schools, to Bol. Nearby is the famous “Golden Horn”, one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. If you feel like it, you can take a refreshing dip here before we set off for Jelsa on the island of Hvar.
Day 3: Island of Hvar – Island of Vis, approx. 20 km
Today’s bike tour takes us through lavender fields and small villages to the island’s capital Hvar on the opposite side of the island. Use the time until the crossing to marvel at the magnificent Renaissance square, take a short stroll through the old town alleys and enjoy the view of the Spanish fortress towering high above the city. Afterwards, the ship will take us to the island of Vis for the night.
Day 4: Island Vis – Island Korčula, approx. 32 km
Vis is the furthest inhabited island from the mainland in Croatia. 2300 years ago a Greek colony called Issa was founded here. Due to its strategic location, the island of Vis was a restricted military area until 1995 and was closed to foreign tourists. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to explore the enchanting island by bike. Starting in the town of Vis, you will cycle around the entire island, stopping for a coffee in the harbor of Komiža and a traditional lunch along the way. After the tour, you will transfer to Vela Luka on Korčula, where you will spend the night.
Day 5: Island Korčula, approx. 60 km
On today’s bike tour you explore the entire island of Korčula – for many it is one of the most beautiful islands in Dalmatia. Mediterranean climate and breathtaking scenery await you. Marvel at beautiful views, rich vegetation and deep blue water. Your tour takes you to the picturesque island capital of Korčula, which competes with Venice for the honor of being the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. Here you will enjoy a guided tour through the old town’s herringbone lanes and hear fascinating anecdotes about the history of the city and the island. Overnight stay in Korčula.
Day 6: Island Korčula – Island Mljet, approx. 33 km
After a relaxed morning crossing, we arrive in Pomena on the island of Mljet. From here we cycle across the entire island of Mljet, which, with 70% forest, is one of the most densely wooded islands in the entire Mediterranean. Homer also mentioned the island in his Odyssey, describing it as the home of the nymph Calypso, who held the famous hero here for seven years. Your ship will pick you up in Sobra for the crossing to the small island of Sipan.
Day 7: Sipan Island – Dubrovnik, approx. 11 km
Sipan is the largest of the Elafiti Islands, yet it is still a very manageable island. What Sipan lacks in size, however, it makes up for in charm, making the islet a wonderful place for the last bike tour of this trip. Back on board during the crossing to Dubrovnik, you will have time to look back on this wonderful and varied week before an interesting guided city tour awaits you upon arrival in the World Heritage city of Dubrovnik. After the tour, there will be enough time to explore this exciting city on your own. During an atmospheric dinner on board, you will say goodbye to the crew and tour guides and perhaps already make your first plans for the next Islandhopping trip.
Day 8: Dubrovnik (Disembarkation)
After breakfast, disembarkation in Dubrovnik. Afterwards, individual journey home or extension of your vacation in Dalmatia.
