Route

Level 1-2

A flat tour on bike paths and paved side streets. Two bike stages with slight inclines.

Day 1: Tallinn

Individual arrival in Tallinn. Accommodation in the hotel and in the evening you will have a guided city tour. Together with the city guide you will discover the renovated medieval old town of the old Hanseatic city with its numerous attractions.

Day 2: Lahemaa National Park (Estonia), approx. 60 km

After breakfast, meet with the representative and short bus ride (about 60 km). After that, the first bike tour through Lahemaa National Park awaits you with beautiful and varied nature. The park was founded in 1971 as the first national park in the Soviet Union. On the romantic Baltic coast, you will visit an interesting maritime museum and later a manor house with a forestry museum. In the afternoon you will reach your accommodation, which is located in the national park area. Overnight stay in/near Palmse.

Day 3: Lake Peipsi and Tartu/Dorpat (Estonia), approx. 50 km

Today, after the transfer (approx. 110 km), you will cycle very nicely along Lake Peipsi, through which the border with Russia runs. Lake Peipsi is the fifth largest lake in Europe and covers an area of 3,555 km2, 44% of which belongs to the Republic of Estonia. You will reach Estonia’s second largest city, Tartu, (Dorpat) in the late afternoon. Today you will visit the old town with: the main university building, the observatory, the town hall and the Engelsbrücke.

Day 4: Medieval town of Cesis (Latvia), approx. 50 km

Today you leave Estonia (about 140 km) by minibus. The bike tour takes you through the largest and oldest national park in Latvia, the Gauja National Park. On the way, you will visit the medieval town of Cesis, where you will see the largest ruin in Latvia, the Order Castle. You will reach the hotel in the resort of Sigulda in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in Sigulda.

Day 5: Riga rest day (Latvia)

After a short bus ride (about 60 km) you will spend the day in Riga. The city was founded in 1201 by Bishop Albert and is the largest of the three Baltic capitals. In the morning we have planned a guided tour of the city. In the afternoon you will have free time. On the city tour, you will see, among other things, the castle, the cathedral, St. Peter’s Church, the three brothers and the large and small guild. The restored Art Nouveau houses in Riga are particularly worth seeing. Overnight stay in a hotel in Riga.

Day 6: Riga – Kurzeme – Kuldige/Goldingen (Latvia), approx. 50 km

After breakfast, we will take a minibus (about 110 km) to the western part of Latvia. Today’s bike ride takes us through the romantic region of Kurzeme. The destination of the day is the town of Kuldiga, where you can see very beautiful wooden houses, the renovated Venta bridge and a waterfall. Overnight stay in Kuldiga.

Day 7: Golden Coast (Lithuania), approx. 42 km

In the morning, you will leave Latvia by minibus and drive to Lithuania (bus ride approx. 140 km). Right after crossing the border, you will start the next bike tour, which will take you along the Baltic Sea. On the way, you will visit Palanga, the Lithuanian summer capital, which is famous for its beaches, unforgettable sunsets, pier and amber museum. You will reach your accommodation in Klaipeda by bike. In the evening, we recommend a tour of the old town. Overnight stay in Klaipeda.

Day 8: Curonian Lagoon (Lithuania), approx. 55 km

A beautiful bike tour on the Curonian Spit awaits you today. On the way, you will visit Juodkrante (Black Beach). You will reach Nida, the destination of the day, in the late afternoon, where you will visit the Thomas Mann House, the Amber Gallery and the Curonian Cemetery. Overnight stay and dinner in Nida/Joudkrante.

Day 9: Boat trip and Memel Delta (Lithuania), approx. 48 km

You start the day with a boat trip across the Curonian Spit to the Lithuanian mainland. After the boat trip, a bike tour through the regional park of the Memeldelta. The route leads through Silute (Heydekrug) to the Winderburger Ecke, where there is an ornithological station with an octagonal lighthouse that is well worth seeing. You will reach the hotel in Kaunas by minibus in the evening (approx. 240 km). Overnight stay in Kaunas.

Day 10: Trakai and Vilnius (Lithuania), approx. 20 km

After breakfast, take a walk through the old town, where you can visit the town hall and the Gothic cathedral. Then, after a short bus ride (about 60 km), you will start your last bike tour. Today you will cycle through the beautiful, slightly hilly lake district. After about 20 km you will reach Trakai, where you can visit the very interesting Gothic island castles on Lake Galve. Continue by minibus (approx. 30 km) to Vilnius. Visit the beautiful Lithuanian capital with its many baroque and classical buildings with a guide. Overnight stay in Vilnius.

Day 11: Vilnius

Individual departure or extension in Vilnius.

    We provide you with modern, high-quality e-bikes (pedelecs) with a 7-speed hub gear, a pedal-assist system that can be selected in stages, puncture-proof tires and a low UNISEX comfort entry. The bikes are equipped with a powerful Panasonic or Bosch pedelec mid-mounted motor and a strong lithium-ion battery that can travel up to 70 kilometers on a single charge. You can save battery power by starting with the lowest level of assistance and increasing it as needed.

    You are welcome to bring your own bike. This is specially adapted to your needs, and we understand that you would like to have it with you on your bike tour. Don't forget to bring a tool bag with the necessary keys and a spare tube, as well as a lock. Check the bike for functionality before you leave.

    Bus: You can take the No. 2 bus to the city. Get off at the A. Laikmaa stop, walk to the large Viru shopping center and from there take the second bus, No. 40, to “Hotel Tallinn” – the stop is named after Hotel Meriton. A single ticket costs €1.60 and can be purchased directly on the bus.

    Port: Terminals A and B. The bus stop is about 500 meters from the pier, walk to Linnahall (City Hall) and from there you can take line 41B to the hotels, stop “Hotell Tallinn.” From Terminal D, take the bus to Viru Center first and then line 40.


    Arrival by car

    Station: Tallinn
    There are good train connections to Tallinn from neighboring countries. A taxi from the station to the hotel costs about €10, or take the 41 bus. You can also reach the hotel on foot in about 1 km. If you are bringing your own bike, please contact the railway regarding the transport conditions.
