In small, dreamy restaurants, master chefs spoil you with culinary delights and provide new taste explosions time and again, while the cellars of famous wineries are home to the best wines in France.
Route mostly on low traffic roads in rural and city areas. Short stretches are on unpaved roads. A couple of days present some short uphill sections with the only relevant ascent to Les-Baux-de- Provence (4 km of gentle ascent).
Individual arrival at Orange. Free time to visit the Roman monuments. The theatre is one of the best preserved of all Roman theatres.
The cycle path leads you through beautiful landscapes, orchards and vineyards from the famous Côte du Rhône (Lirac, Laudan) until St Laurent. Arriving at the charming medieval village overlooking the Alzon Valley. Uzès is a typical provencial village with a wonderful market place.
Small peacefull roads will take you to the spectacular site of Pont du Gard, considered one of the wonders of the ancient world. The Roman aqueduct was built to carry water across the River Gardon to the City of Nimes. The end of the day trip will be in Avignon.
In Avignon you have time to visit the Roman monuments and the Palace of the Popes. You leave Avignon by small quiet roads, cycling towards one of the most beautiful and very typical villages in the region, St Rémy, known for the aromas of wild herbs. St Rémy is also famous for Van Gogh and as Nostradamus birth place. The wines from Les Baux have granted their own appellation status in the late eighties. You can enjoy the end of the day in the romantic small streets and places of St Rémy.
Today you’re cycling from St Remy to Les Baux. The remarkable pilgrimage site was built on a 200 m high outcrop and is dominated by a fortress ruin. It’s the area of Van Gogh, as he got the inspiration for a lot of his paintings here. Wonderful landscape in the shadow of the Alpilles mountains.
Today you leave St. Rémy to cycle south, towards to the Mediterranean sea in the town of Arles, perched on the side of the Rhone with its well-preserved amphitheatre, countless medieval and Roman monuments.
Passing Mejanes you will cycle towards the Mediterranean through the protected region of the Camargue. Here you can see white horses, flamingos and exotic wildlife in this beautiful countryside. Transfer back to Arles by taxi at 5.30 pm.
After breakfast use the included transfer to get back to Orange. Departure or extension of your stay at Orange.

You can choose between the following bikes with 28" tires in different frame dimensions for ladies and gents.
All bikes are equipped with a rear rack pannier (saddle bag) and a handlebar bag/room.
With an electro bike every bike tour is a breeze! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern E-bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... Acclivity can be handled easily.
Please note that it won’t be possible to fix the handlebar bags on some of our E-Bikes.
Breakdowns can happen even with new wheels and by best servicing. Should a repair not be possible, please contact our service number! In a few hotels/guest houses we have some bikes on stock if you need to change them during the trip.
You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. It is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, spare tube and lock. Please check all functions of your bicycle carefully upon arrival.

Parking: The hotel has a limited number of parking spaces, upon availability. Cost: approx. € 15-20,-/night. There is no reservation possible. Public parking spaces are available near the hotel.
