Discover France by bike
France’s legendary beauty is not limited to popular places and regions such as Paris, the Côte d’Azur or Provence. Many of the country’s highlights are its small scenic wonders. One of the most beautiful ways to discover these spots is to take a bike tour through France. Cycling allows you to pay attention to the unexpected highlights: the small village church, the breathtaking hilly landscape or the hidden restaurant along the way. With RAD + REISEN, you will experience France and its people in a completely new way.
Cycling tours in France for every level
A particular advantage of bike tours is that you can set the pace. This makes our France bike tours suitable for all age groups. Whether you are young or old, a recreational cyclist or an ambitious amateur athlete, we have exactly the right bike tour for your needs. We offer routes from level 1 to 3. If you have limited pedalling power, you can also get support from one of our electric bikes that can be rented – for unlimited cycling pleasure.
In our wide range, you will find both guided group tours and individual tours. What all tours have in common is that a pre-booked room is waiting for you every evening. We select our hotels and guest houses locally. It is important to us that you stay in personally managed, typical local accommodation. This way, you will always be at the heart of French life. For some of our bike tours, you can even flexibly choose the star rating of your accommodation. Our repertoire ranges from two to five stars.
The form of arrival is up to you. You can choose to travel by plane, train or car. We will be happy to advise you on the options. You can also decide for yourself whether you want to take your own bike with you on the bike tour or rent one from us. Our modern bikes are equipped with a handlebar and pannier bag, as well as a bottle holder. We take care of the daily luggage transport for you, so you can cycle through France’s nature and cities without any ballast.
Cycling vacation in France – where should you go?
With more than 7,000 km of bike paths, France is a paradise for cyclists. No matter which cycling vacation you choose, you will be thrilled by the good paths and impressive landscapes.
How about, for example, our cycling tour along the Rhône Cycle Path? It takes you along the beautiful Alpine panorama without you having to conquer any climbs. Nevertheless, Mont Blanc seems close enough to touch. Equally charismatic is the RAD + REISEN route along the Canal du Midi, which takes you to Sète or Toulouse, depending on your choice.
If you want to discover the pearls of the Alsatian Wine Route, you can choose between various cycle tours in Alsace. Each of the routes allows you to immerse yourself in the unique landscape of the region. Embark on a journey through time and experience the medieval flair of the region, for example on the seven-day Alsace round trip. The picturesque townscapes with their well-preserved half-timbered houses are joined by the seemingly endless vineyards of Alsace. Culinary highlights await you along the way.
Cyclists can also explore the following wine regions with us:
- Burgundy
- Bordeaux
- Champagne
RAD + REISEN also offers various vacations for romantics. How about an enchanting bike and boat trip along the Loire River, through a green landscape with charming little villages and old castles? Or book a cycling holiday in Provence and let yourself be enchanted by the scent of the lavender fields and the fine cuisine.
Of course, you can also use your French cycling holiday to explore the beautiful neighboring countries, for example on the German-French Middle Rhine route. Starting in Strasbourg, it leads through Baden-Baden and Heidelberg to the Rhine and along there to Mainz. For fans of big cities, our Paris bike and boat tour, which leads through diverse landscapes, is sure to be fascinating.
If you are unsure which France cycle tour best suits your needs, simply contact us without obligation. We will be happy to advise you!
