This itinerary is well balance with a mix of flat green ways, hilly countryside on secondary roads.

Day 1: Paris

Individual arrival at Paris.

Day 2: Paris – Versailles, approx. 36 km

This first day start with a lovely ride in Paris, you will see the Cathedral Notre Dame de Paris, the Eiffel Tower and other sights of the city before heading to Versailles riding along a lovely green ways. Quiet roads in the valley of La Bièvre take you to the royal city of Versailles.

Day 3: Versailles – Epernon, approx. 69 km

You leave Versailles and enter the picturesque Vallée de Chevreuse. Castles, museums, wash-houses, small lovely villages. You will have the possibility to stop by a farm house or a small producers of beer, cheese and sirop in the Regional Natural Park. Afterwards you enter the Domaine de Rambouillet and its castle, former residency of the kings of France. You will cycle in the green lands of the castle and arrive in Epernon.

Day 4: Epernon – Illiers Combray, approx. 66 km

The bike ride starts on charming secondary roads through small villages. Before you arrive at the great city of Chartres, where you will have the possibility to visit the magnificent castle of Madame de Maintenon, who was the last wife of Sun King Louis XIV. The renovated garden "à la française" of the castle are a must see. The second highlight of the day is the city of Chartres and its sublime cathedral, UNESCO site and masterpiece of gothic art, the cathedral boasts 9 sculpted gates and 2,600 m² of stained glass windows dating from the 12th and 13th centuries. You cycle to Illiers-Combray on a romantic countryside that inspired Marcel Proust for his novel "A la recherche du temps perdu".

Day 5: Illiers Combray – Condeau, approx. 56 km

The itinerary enter the Natural park of Perche, authentic green landscapes. The region is well known for the Percheron horse, you will get the possibility to visit a Percheron Horse breeding or do an excursion in a carriage. Fruit and apple cider producers will also be happy to welcome you along the green way.

Day 6: Condeau – Alençon, approx. 69 km

Gentle ride on the natural Park of Normandy Maine. Part of the day leads you along the green way, you will enjoy a varied landscape all day until the charming town of Alençon. Alençon is famous for its unique production of handmade needle registered at the UNESCO.

Day 7: Alençon – Bagnoles-de l’Orne, approx. 54 km

Today is a little more challenging but the scenerie is breathtaking and you will enjoy a wonderful view all along the cycling day. Along the route, you can visit the impressive small château de Carrouges. The gardens of the castle could be a good option for a picnic. Your day ends in Bagnoles de l’Ornes. This city is full of charme, especially its Belle Epoque neighbourhood. The city is also well known for its baths so why not enjoing a relaxing swim or a massage in the baths?

Day 8: Bagnoles-de l’Orne – St Hilaire du Harcouët, approx. 61 km

Today you ride through charming landscapes and forests to Domfront and its historical town center. Most of the way will be on green ways. This lovely day will end in Saint Hilaire, a small but very lovely town.

Day 9: St Hilaire du Harcouët – Mont St. Michel, approx. 61 km

Of course you have seen many images of the Mont St. Michel rising majestically from its massive bay, coming in person is a moving experience. The sight is stunning, the island topped by its Gothic masterpiece of an abbey. The bay is subject to some of the biggest tidal variations in Europe, so the views change hourly. At high tide, the island is surrounded by water, but as the waters recede, a vast network of channels is revealed. These great shifts add to the magic.

Day 10: Pontorson – St. Malo

After breakfast at 9 am bus transfer to the train station of Saint Malo. Individual departure or extension. A transfer back to Paris is bookable.

    E-bikes | Pedelecs

    With an electro bike every bike tour is a breeze! The shiftable, low noise electric drive of our modern E-bike relieves you of some of the work and increases the pedal force up to 3 times ... Acclivity can be handled easily.
    Please note that it won’t be possible to fix the handlebar bags on some of our E-Bikes.


    Bicycle breakdowns

    Breakdowns can happen even with new wheels and by best servicing. Should a repair not be possible, please contact our service number! In a few hotels/guest houses we have some bikes on stock if you need to change them during the trip.


    Private bicycles

    You are welcome to bring your own bicycle. It is adapted especially to your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, spare tube and lock. Please check all functions of your bicycle carefully upon arrival.

    Arrival by plane

    Airport: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG)/Orly (ORY)

    The Roissy shuttle bus runs between downtown Paris (Opéra stop) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport (duration: approx. 60 minutes, cost: € 11,- per person, bus runs every 15-20 minutes). The RER B train connects Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport with Paris and its suburbs. Trains every 10 - 15 minutes; duration approx. 50 minutes (RER), price: approx. € 10,-


    Arrival by car

    Parking: The parking garage is approx. 200 meters next to the hotel. The parking spot is called Parkhouse Cathedrale St. Louis. (no pre reservation possible, payable on spot, approx. € 22,-/day)


    Arrival by train

    Train station: Paris Gare du Nord

    From Paris to Le Mont St Michel against the wind
