Passau-Wien biking trip
Hello,
As always there are positive and negative experiences in each trip. This was maybe 15th time to take R&R bike trip. Here the main points I have in my mind.
Positive things: the bikes were good, instruction for the trip good, hotels also except one. Guiding booklets and GPX very good, but only I got it working out of 16 persons. In Passau we took 4 taxis to pick up the bikes. With a big group it looked too difficult to use busses where was one change also in the main buss station.
The pumps wee got didn`t fit to our tyres. We asked help from OÖ Turistic service. They promised to send instructions, we never got them. We visited normal car service station to fill few tyres.
Hotel in Pöchlarn was not so good level, booking in reception was busy and took time to get in and their restaurant service was not so good level, Payment of dinner took perhaps an hour and with pyrocratic way.
Also at the end in Wien booking into hotel was slow, took at least half hour from the whole group. You needed to fill documents by yourself by computer in very detailed form.
Perhaps the biggest missing things were the tickets to the ship. We really didn`t had them. But with help of you Marijana we managed to check in to the ship with the digital version, which I had in GPX. Also the paper version of the vouchers for the wine bottles were missing. After some discussion they accepted the digital version. We managed to fit in both times into the same train even it was a bit tight. So no extra waiting the rest of the group.
As a summary the trip satisfied to our group as a whole. Thank you all for your advice and help. In the coming winter we will start to select the next one for next summer.
