German Rhine Holiday
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip up the Rhine! We took the train from Paris to Mainz. Easy. Hotel was right near station. Bikes were there waiting for us. Day one headed to the river easily to begin our trip. The route up to Koln is pretty easy to follow, even without the guidebook, cycle path is marked quite well. The on,y issues we had were when we had to deviate off the river and get around some industrial areas but other than that no problems.
The scenery is just fantastic and the little towns are quaint charming and fun. The people in Germany were so nice and hospitable.
Koln is a great city, we enjoyed a. Extra day there siteseeing.
We felt this was even a better organized trip than our first one through Austria. Looking to book another one soon.
