This tour can be booked with a minimum of 2 participants with a travel date you desire. (availability on request)

    health care
Medical care is good in South Africa and sometimes very good in the larger cities. The private hospitals in the big cities have European level. There are generally practicing physicians in most localities, as well as pharmacies.
Southern Africa has a very high and still rising AIDS infection rate. This should be considered urgently in personal behavior.

    vaccinations
Vaccinations should be made well in advance of travel and entered in the International (yellow) vaccination certificate. If for health reasons a prescribed vaccination can not be given (for example, yellow fever when traveling to Kenya, Malawi, etc.), this must be officially confirmed.

    Malaria
The Garden Route is not a specific risk area when it comes to malaria. Nevertheless bringing mosquito protection can be a good idea. Also, the bringing of mosquito nets is not nesessary, as normally all good lodges do have nets around their beds if they are needed.
