      Tour Profile / Level 1

Most of the time on bike paths, some field paths, only a few slight uphill stretches.

      Day 1: Trier / Ruwertal

      Individual arrival.

      Day 2: Neumagen-Dhron or Piesport, approx. 39 / 44 km

Accompanied by vines, you roll through the Ruwer valley along the Moselle, where the old ferry tower of Schweich is located. Marvel at the small wine-growing village Mehring with the famous Villa Rustica, a ruin, that was in Roman times a magnificent country house. Stroll through Mehring’s lovingly crafted so-called Moselle streets and don’t be afraid to open the doors of vine-ranked wineries. In the afternoon take a detour to the left side of the Moselle to Trittenheim, because here lures a walk on the wine educational trail, which informs about the work year of the wine-maker, native grape varieties and grape breeding. This day ends in Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest wine village in Germany or in the small wine village Piesport with its nice cafés, wineries and wine taverns. Convince yourself of the good quality of Piesporter gold pottery.

      Day 3: Reil/Burg, approx. 48/52 km

Today you discover Bernkastel-Kues, stroll through the beautiful market square, past the proud half-timbered houses and educate yourself in the famous wine museum. After this worthwhile break you continue to cycle right on the banks of the Moselle to Zeltingen along the world-renowned vineyards Zeltinger Himmelreich, Schlossberg, Sonnenuhr and Deutschherrenberg. Continuing your cycle day through the "Kröver Nachtarsch" to your winery in Burg or Reil near Traben-Trarbach.

      Day 4: Pommern/Treis-Karden, approx. 57/59 km

In the morning, you roll through the vineyards to Zeller Schwarze Katz. Marvel at the in Germany still unique bridge that connects Bullay with Alf. It crosses as steel structure the Mosel at double-level, above is the rail and down is the road. Discover the romantic village of Beilstein with its nickname "Rothenburg an der Mosel", stroll through the picturesque center of Cochem, visit the old imperial castle from the 11th Century or visit the ’Rieslingstub’n’. Overnight stay in Pomerania.

      Day 5: Pommern - Koblenz, approx. 48/43km

Today an detour lures (4 kilometers) to the medieval Burg Eltz, one of the most beautiful and best preserved castles in Germany. Wonderfully romantic and nestled in unspoiled nature, it looks like a true fairytale castle, inviting and majestic at the same time. Take part in an informative tour of the castle. Then you will cycle back to the Moselle bike path and roll down to the historic wine town Kobern Gondorf. Visit here a terraced vineyard, because they have almost exclusively steep slopes. These are usually very rocky and therefore for the most part only buildable on more or less small terraces. On these steep slopes mainly grow Riesling and Pinot Noir grapes.

        Our 7- or 27-speed-bikes

The robust modern aluminium frame with moulded lower tube guarantees quiet running even in case of high "payload". Same applies to the steel forks. All frames are coated with a long-living and non-polluting powder lacquer showing the typical Velociped green. There are, of course, different types of frame available depending on the size of ladies and gentlemen, as the bike must fit the "rider".

And: all ladies’ bikes have a low opening that makes mounting and dismounting much easier.

All 7-speed tourers have wide and comfortable gel saddles with a cushioning that offers maximum comfort even in an upright position. The seat post has a quick release skewers in order to adjust the saddle size without tools.

        E-Bikes | Pedelecs

We use high-quality, sturdy and technically mature FLYER e-bikes produced by the Swiss manufacturers Biketec. The drive of e-bikes can be switched on and off, respectively at the touch of a button – at any time. Thus, you can make use of the motor for ascents or headwind only, or as permanent support enabling you to cover even larger and harder day trips without physical exertion. You’ll always reach your destination rested and relaxed. The Shimano 8-speed hub is equally graded, and the grip shifter ensures easy and smooth handling, also under load. You can therefore always select the optimal speed while at the same time using a smooth motor support.

Power is supplied to the motor by a 36 volt/12 ampere battery according to latest lithium-ion-polymer technology standards. The battery provides support for driving distances of up to approx. 100 km per charge. Recharging takes about 5 hours for completely discharged batteries. It is not necessary to wait until the battery is discharged, recharging is possible at any time.

Attention: Please reserve E-bikes early as they are always depending on availability.

        Equipment

Our bikes are equipped with a map holder at the handlebar, a waterproof pannier on the side of the bicylcle rack and a repair kit with a backup inner tube and an emergency kit.

        Bringing own bikes

Sure you are invited to bring you own bike which is already fitted best for your needs. Do not forget to bring a repair kit with all necessary tools such as: keys, reserve tube and lock. Please check your own bicycle for operability upon arrival. Please note that we are not liable in case of damage, lost and theft. In case it breaks down, we will of course see to help you.
